Super Husband!

This is Ross watching a little football and taking a well-deserved break from this weekend. (This is also Ross wondering why in the world I'm taking his picture...)

I have to gush about my hubby for a minute. (Wendy, I'll go easy as easy on the "cheese" as possible!) Ross was the best this weekend and kept amazing me and reminding me why I love him.

On Friday night even though, like everyone else in the country, we're lower on cash than we want to be, Ross and I went out on a date. We didn't really do much. We went to a place called Taco Del Sol here in Helena and both had a burrito. Then, since there's nothing worth seeing at the movies right now, we just went to a few stores and meandered. Target was so fun without the kids and then we looked at classic movies at Hastings that we'd like to rent someday. Not much to our alone time, but we really enjoyed it!

That night I also sprung on him that I wanted to go to a craft show the next morning with my Mom and my girls. So in the morning he helped me get all of us ready for the day and then mopped my kitchen (which I hate doing). We left two hours later than I'd told him we would, but he just kept telling me to enjoy myself. Going to the Christmas craft shows with my Mom is something I have loved doing since I was a little girl and he wanted me to have that again and share it with my girlies. While I was gone he fixed the hot water part of our bathroom sink. He took the boys to Lowe's and then to Burger King and even put Luke down for a nap.

Of course time ran away from us as we walked around the craft show and we took a lot longer than the two hours I told Ross we'd be. I had to feed my baby Rebecca before we left and by the time she was done I realized that I only had an hour before we were supposed to have the missionaries to our house for dinner! I quickly called Ross and told him I'd just pick up something from Costso instead of trying to make the enchilada casserole and chili relleno that I'd been planning on. This is a post titled Super Husband, so you probably know what's coming next. Yes! He'd made the dinner and was ready and waiting to put it in the oven when I got home! He'd even set the table.

After dinner he was nice enough to give up the comfort of sleeping in his own bed and helped me pack up us and the kids to drive 20 minutes and go spend the night at my parents' house so we could go to Stake Conference with them today. On the drive over I kept thinking of things I forgot, like the expensive diaper rash cream we needed for Rebecca among other things, and he just kept coming through for me and telling me he'd remembered whatever it was I was panicking about.

Today he was great at church with our 4 rambunctious kids and took on diaper duty numerous time the rest of the afternoon. He was also patient enough to teach me how to play pool while we were still at my parents' house.

I'm sure I'm forgetting some of the great things he did, but it just all made it a really wonderful weekend and I'm grateful for my Cuteboy Ross! (If he actually checks our blog, he'll be embarrassed, but oh well!)

That is just AMAZING!! I can not wait to get to know Ross better! What an awesome Dad and Husband!! I am also thinking that you are great to remember to thank him for all of the EXTRAS sometimes I forget to thank Wade. So thanks for the reminder. P.S. I do remember that day in the Hart. You were so nice to go with me! That was crazy! The BYU-I football program has a league that they have tryouts and it is very official and competitive but all of the treams are from BYU-I. I think it is a great program because so many more students get the opportunity to play. Students ref and coach and play. It really is pretty intense! They even have cheerleaders and THOR! It is fun when you come down we will have to go and take the kids.

Yeah for Ross!!!! And yeah for Janet for noticing all the nice things your husband does, sometimes I take for granted all of the great things Ryan does and you have inspired me to be better at letting him know how great he is!

Your hubby is great. We totally did well with the CA boys, huh? I do, however, need (and I mean NEED) pics of your kids soon. I'm going through withdrawals. Hugs and love.
