A little Easter celebration

Our Easter was very low-key this year. Not that we ever get too wild and crazy, but it was very quiet and intimate.

We piled stuff for all 5 kids into two baskets. Works for me.
I was excited to find the little book "What is Easter?" because we already had the book "What is Christmas?". Both books talk about how there are a lot of fun things that we can do on each holiday, but the important part is to think about Jesus and what He did for us. My kids love them.

A big HOORAY after digging into the baskets.

This is one of 11 pictures I took trying to get them to all look at the camera and smile. I do believe this was picture #11! But they are cute, so they're forgiven. ;o)

Okay, so I know I just talked about the great message in that little book about focusing on the Savior and His sacrifice for us on Easter Sunday. And I truly believe that is what we should do. But yes, this is us dying eggs on Sunday. Be appalled. Be very appalled. I'll try and be more organized next year and do the egg stuff on Saturday. Promise.

One of our eggs. I love the chicken scratch handwriting. I'll miss that someday. The kids had a fun egg hunt in our back yard. I got video, but at 4 minutes 20 seconds it is a little too large to upload to the blog. And even if you think my kids are adorable, who is going to want to sit for that long and watch it besides me anyway?

We had our own little Easter dinner. We got a ham (Sadly not one from Bob's Valley Market. It wasn't in the budget!) and I made a cheesy potato casserole (AKA: funeral potatoes--yum!). I love the holidays and Easter especially.

I love your kiddos. They are darling pants. The one with thier arms raised in "hooray!" is especially cute. Hugs and love.
